Special Monitoring

Kids and Teens pediatricians are trained to manage ADHD as follows:

Patients were seen every 1-3 months depending on each child’s needs
Patients who are high risk for mental health conditions are referred to behavioral therapy and psychiatry

When your older child is impulsive and has difficulty concentrating or focusing, they may need an evaluation for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), previously called attention-deficit disorder (ADD). The Kids & Teens Medical Group offers expert evaluation, diagnosis, and long-term support for your child’s ADD or ADHD. If you suspect your child has ADD/ADHD, call or request an appointment online at one of our offices today.

Special Needs Care

Kids and Teens Pediatricians are experts in caring for children with developmental disorders

Patients are monitored every 6 to 12 months
We coordinate referrals with CHLA and community specialists for ongoing care
We review IEP documents and advise on the next steps
Between birth to 3 years, we recommend referrals to the regional center
For children over 3 years, we refer to the school district for evaluation and treatment
