Hilma Benjamin

MD, FAAP Board Certified Pediatrician

Hilma Benjamin, MD, FAAP, is a member of the caring team at Kids & Teens Medical Group. She serves patients from the practiceā€™s location in Northridge, California. Dr. Benjamin graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1996 before earning a Master of Science in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 1998. She received her medical degree in 2004 from Penn State College of Medicine and completed her residency in general pediatrics in 2007 at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Before joining Kids & Teens Medical Group in 2009, she completed several locum tenens assignments in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and at the Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Benjamin currently serves as the acting Medical Director of Kids and Teens’ Extended Hours/After Hours Care services. Her special interests include child behavior, growth and development, dental care, nutrition, and physical education.

Victoria Millet

MD, FAAP Board Certified Infectious Disease

Victoria Millet, MD, FAAP, is an experienced, board-certified pediatrician practicing at the Kids & Teens Medical Group locations in Encino, Northridge, Van Nuys, California. She has been in private pediatric practice since 1984 and joined Kids & Teens Medical Group in January of 2011. Dr. Millet completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California at Los Angeles, where she majored in zoology in 1969. She earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California in 1972 and then completed a three-year residency in pediatrics at University Hospital in San Diego in 1975. She completed a pediatric infectious diseases/ambulatory pediatrics fellowship at the Center for the Health Sciences at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1980. Dr. Millet continues to do consulting work in pediatric infectious diseases for Kids & Teens Medical Group and her colleagues in the local pediatric community. She enjoys teaching and is a member of the Family Practice Residency Program faculty at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. She is also a clinical faculty member at the UCLA School of Nursing.

Brian Bhatt

MD, FAAP

Dr. Brian Bhatt, born and brought up in the Northeast, is looking forward to being a part of the family at the Kids and Teens Medical Group. Dr. Bhatt obtained his Bachelorā€™s degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Connecticut, and Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Georgeā€™s University School of Medicine. He went to NYU Langone Long Island Hospital to complete a three-year pediatric residency in a robust environment. He is a driven physician, keen to establish a strong rapport and provide the best medical care possible for all age groups. He is fluent in English and Gujarati. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bhatt is a husband and a father. He enjoys his time cooking, playing tennis, relaxing at the beach, learning about and collecting vintage watches, and enjoying a good marvel movie night with family & friends.

Palak Shelat

MD, FAAP

Dr. Palak Shelat is excited to join and be a part of the Kids and Teens Medical Group. She is a dedicated pediatrician who provides exceptional care to children and enjoys problem-solving with a positive, can-do attitude. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. Born and raised in India, Dr. Shelat came to the USA when she was a teenager. She always knew she wanted to become a physician. She pursued her dreams and earned as a New England Scholar, a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Physiology & Neurobiology, and Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Connecticut. She completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at St. Georgeā€™s University School of Medicine with high honors. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys painting, tennis, meditation, yoga, long walks on the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Louise Villanueva

CPNP Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Louise is a dual-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and Acute Care. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing degrees at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Her nursing experience began on an adult medical-surgical unit and then transitioned to the NICU. One of her favorite things about working in the NICU is providing discharge education & anticipatory guidance to parents on how to care for their newborns at home. This fueled her drive to pursue a role as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner because it allows her to continue to educate parents and to provide compassionate care to children as they progress through the different stages of life, not just the newborn stage.

Rohina Furmuly

PA-C Pediatrics

Rohina Furmuly is a nationally board-certified physician assistant. She practices from the Kids & Teens Medical Group office locations in Northridge, West Hills, Van Nuys, and Pasadena. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science at UCLA, Rohina earned her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at Western University of Health Sciences. She specializes in pediatrics and has substantial experience in internal medicine. Prior to joining Kids & Teens Medical Group, Rohina served the veterans of Ventura County at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic of the Department of Veteran Affairs. She also worked for Pediatric Affiliates and Tarzana Pediatric Medical Groups. Rohina is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. In addition to her clinical work, Rohina has performed epidemiological and clinical research for the UCLA Nuclear Medicine Department, the Kaiser Permanente Research and Evaluation Department, and Amgen, Inc. Her areas of focus have included Alzheimerā€™s disease and dementia; and she has co-authored two publications. Rohina is an avid traveler and adventurer. When sheā€™s not caring for patients at Kids & Teens Medical Group, she enjoys reading, outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends. Rohina is also actively involved with several charitable organizations.

PNP Nurse Practitioner

Cheyanne obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University Los Angeles. After discovering her passion in caring for the pediatric population, she started her career at Childrenā€™s Hospital Los Angeles in 2013 through the Versant residency program. As her passion in providing family-centered care for the pediatric population continued growing, she also started working at Kaiser Permanente inpatient and outpatient pediatrics unit, and as a clinical instructor at Mount Saint Maryā€™s University for their pediatric clinical rotation. Eventually, she decided to further her education and obtain her masterā€™s degree at California State University, Long Beach to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. On her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, and go on food adventures. She also enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities.

PA-C Physician Assistant

TuTran Dang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Kids & Teens Medical Group. She specializes in Family Medicine and Urgent Care and sees patients from the practice’s office locations in Northridge & Van Nuys. TuTran graduated magna cum laude from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California. She passed the state medical board in 2006. TuTran brings a diverse set of skills to the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese, which allows her to provide care to patients from different backgrounds. TuTran is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA). In her spare time, TuTran enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and cooking. She is excited to be part of Kids & Teens Medical Group and is proud to work with a fantastic team of practitioners.

Marianne Woods

MD, MSPH Board Certified Pediatrician

Marianne Woods, MD, is an esteemed pediatrician on the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group, practicing out of the offices in Northridge, Pasadena, and Van Nuys, California. Her goal is to stay abreast of the latest pediatric advancements. It is also to treat every one of her patients like family and recognize each patient and family as unique and special. She is particularly interested in helping children make healthy lifestyle choices that will carry on into their adult life. She strives to provide the very best medical care with thoughtful explanations, compassion, a good ear to listen, and a smile.

Dr. Woods graduated with honors in biology from California State University Long Beach (CSULB), after which she graduated with a Master of Science in Public Health degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health, Department of Nutrition and Environmental Sciences.

Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Woods participated in the yearlong 5th Pathway Medical Studies Program conducted by the University of California Irvine. Her internship and residency in pediatrics were completed at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining Kids & Teens Medical Group, she spent many years working as a staff pediatrician in the Kaiser Permanente Medical System.

Dr. Woods has been a lifelong resident of Southern California and has raised her two sons there. She enjoys music, interacting with people, sports, reading, and being with her family.

Amy Wagner

MD, FAAP Board Certified Pediatrician

Amy Wagner, MD, FAAP, is a compassionate, board-certified pediatrician. She has been practicing for over eight years now, spending the last six working alongside Dr. Feldman. Dr. Wagner provides the full scope of pediatric care to children throughout the Greater Los Angeles area at Kids & Teens Medical Group’s office in Northridge, California. Dr. Wagner earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She went on to complete both her pediatric internship and residency programs at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, California. When she’s not caring for patients at Kids & Teens Medical Group, Dr. Wagner loves spending time with her own two children. She is an avid poker player who also loves to see movies of all genres and read real books made of paper. She jogs and exercises regularly. And once in a blue moon, she likes to write and play her guitar.

PNP Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Erika Lee is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who joined the Kids and Teens Medical Group in 2023. She completed her undergraduate studies in Human Physiology and Biology at Boston University and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nursing at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She currently sees patients in Pasadena, Arcadia, and Northridge.

Physician assistant Jose Vargas, PA, brings a wealth of experience in pediatric and family medicine to the team at Kids & Teens Medical Group. He has been in practice in the San Fernando Valley for 35 years and is excited to continue serving the diverse community at the practiceā€™s San Fernando, California, location. Jose completed the physician assistant program in family practice and pediatrics at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California. At Kids & Teens Medical Group, Jose specializes in general pediatrics and child development. He enjoys learning and meeting new challenges, and his priority is to provide high-quality pediatric care to young children and teens in the community. In his free time, Jose pursues many outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and cycling. He enjoys keeping fit and attends the gym regularly. Jose promotes a healthy lifestyle and encourages his patients and their families to get out and exercise.
